McKenzie AKA the clothing queen is one of a kind. McKenzie is well-known on her unit for providing to those less fortunate patients when they are in need of something prior to discharge. Whether it's a bag for carrying belongings, any kind of clothes or shoes, snacks for the road, or, in a specific instance, a tent for a homeless patient, McKenzie will find a way to provide.
I recently heard her say that her husband mentioned his closet was looking a little short on clothes, probably from all the patients, McKenzie has donated to! Most recently, when she was unable to gather up clothes for a homeless, wheelchair-bound patient, she sought out her neighbors for donations to bring him. Her selflessness is unmatched, and her passion for caring for her patients goes above and beyond the call of duty, and past the point of discharge. For McKenzie, there is no such thing as doing too much.
