Mckenzie Castleman, BSN, RN

Mckenzie faces the often challenging days on 7 North Bordley with a sense of humor and a strong presence. Mckenzie has a heart for the behavioral health patients that often have extended stays on Bordley due to their various barriers to discharge. Mckenzie meets these challenging patients with compassion and wisdom from her studies in behavioral health. She is able to share this wisdom with her staff members, making the extended stays easier on both staff and patients. Mckenzie does an excellent job of de-escalating patients and teaching her staff to do so as well. She has a knack for creating a safe and calmer environment in an often chaotic place. Mckenzie cares deeply for her patients and advocates for her staff. As a charge nurse, she is a wonderful example of leadership. She has the respect of her staff and the interdisciplinary team on Bordley.
