My then 94-year old father was admitted to the Unit after a very bad fall at home and a blow to his head. Our family generally understood that my dad's prognosis to ever recover from the fall was not very good, but Nurse Lake did a wonderful and very kind job helping us really understand what was going on with our father. She was not only extremely helpful to each of our family members during a very tough three days in the Unit before we removed our dad from life support and he passed, but she also demonstrated extremely warm care for my father throughout his time in the Unit.
