Just a few days ago, I witnessed Meagan use her compassion and clinical skills to advocate for a patient that was in a dire situation. She knew this would be an immense challenge for herself personally, however on behalf of her patient and their family, she persisted. It was a highly emotional situation that she encountered, yet she handled it with such dignity and empathy.
Her professionalism in this particular situation speaks to the art of nursing - what our morals and values have brought to bedside care. Even Florence Nightingale would be proud!
