My son and I were involved in a car accident and stayed the night. It was a bad accident, and the trauma team responded at Conemaugh so well. However, a nurse I would like to recognize specifically is Miss Meagan Ott. As soon as we got transferred to the floor, this nurse was so kind, gentle, and attentive to us. She sat in our room overnight due to the cardiac monitor that was placed on my son. This nurse is young but a phenomenal asset to your hospital and company at Duke. So wise, gentle, empathetic, smart. She listened to me as I processed the accident. She cared for all of the needs of my son flawlessly. Thank you, Meagan. Conemaugh needs more nurses like her!

She also specifically brought in a little baggie of treats, and I believe that she donates herself to kiddos as well. This was so kind. Small gestures like that have gone so far. I am a business owner and community member here - my son has been hospitalized twice now due to ongoing conditions, and I have seen good and bad at the hospital. Meagan is a DAISY Nurse.
