Meagan was supportive, encouraging, helpful, patient, and extremely attentive to our family throughout our stay in the ER.
On a Thursday, our 18-month-old daughter was transported to the emergency room after having a febrile seizure. We arrived at the emergency room around 3:45 pm and Maegan Johnson was our assigned nurse.

My husband and I were a bit anxious when we arrived, as our son, who is now 9, also suffered a febrile seizure when he was about the same age as our daughter. While he was in the ER, he had a seizure while they were trying to sedate him for a CT scan, and he stopped breathing. I think this past Thursday, we were both experiencing a little PTSD from that event.

However, Maegan was phenomenal. She was supportive, encouraging, helpful, patient, and extremely attentive to our family throughout our stay in the ER. She checked in on us regularly, constantly asked us what we needed, assured us that we weren't overreacting, and she was there for us at any given moment - and she was. She even stopped by after her shift had ended to check on us, tell us she'd be thinking of us, and asked us if there was anything we needed before she left.

In a scary moment of our lives, Maegan went above and beyond to support us. She really is an amazing asset to your nursing team. I'm sure you're already well aware of this, but again, I think supervisors should always be made aware of positive experiences in an environment that is plagued by sadness and negativity.
