I have been in and out of the hospital many times over the last few months. During a few of my stays, I was very ill, and while all my care has been good, Meena has stood out. She is the most caring and compassionate nurse I have had the pleasure to encounter.
One night, I was suffering badly with a fever. I was hot and sweating but too weak to even lift my arms. Meena spent her night making sure I was comfortable. She would frequently wet my forehead with a cool rag and made sure I had fresh ice on my neck. When I came around and started to feel better, I realized how lucky I was that night to have her.
Since that night when I see her walk through the door, I know that I will be in great hands. Meena always listens and adds what may seem like minor details to my care that means so much and adds to my comfort and healing. While I know that my cancer will get the best of me, I know that having Meena's care so much allowed me to feel better for longer. Thank you, Meena!
