Nurse Duffy changed her schedule as well as coming into work on her day off to take care of a patient on multiple occasions admitted to the ICU for a desensitization protocol from another facility. She went above and beyond her role as an ICU nurse to become a "protocol" nurse for this patient and due to her efforts, the patient has avoided travel to and from Boston for medication. She took an unfamiliar situation and performed in an exemplary manner that is truly appreciated. Her professionalism is a role model for ICU nursing.
