I was taken to the ER by my cousin, who returned home from work to find me confused and unable to choose the correct words when I was speaking. Amanda and Megan were my ER nurses and had a lot of trouble getting me to cooperate and let them monitor my blood pressure and oxygen. I was completely disoriented and unable to follow directions compliantly, but they persisted and never lost patience or spoke sharply to me. They were soothing and kind to me and my cousin for hours until I was admitted to ICU. Every bit of nursing care I had I needed, they provided. It turned out I was in a hypertensive crisis. After a day on a ventilator, many tests, and a lot of fluids and med changes, I was released, unable to remember anything about our ER visit. I am amazed that they were so kind and patient with me. Thank you so much.

Thank you, Megan, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
