June 2019 Honoree
megan bonds, LPN
I recently had to go for an upper and lower endoscopy test. Doctors and nurses at both civilian and VA centers have been urging me to have the procedure done for 10 years. I was a nervous wreck when I got to my appointment. I met Megan in the room where I was to be prepped. She immediately put me in a calm place with her peppy personality and a bright smile. We talked about everything but the procedures. Before I knew it, she had me ready to go to the doctors. I was calm and ready to go. This young nurse has a way of communicating with you as if you were old friends. She was seriously a bright ray of sunshine on that day for me. I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you, Megan, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
