Megan Bunnell, BSN, RN

We want to recognize Megan and her outstanding compassion and attentiveness regarding my mother's situation and care at Akron General Hospital. As the daughter, I appreciated her insight and honesty, especially when we felt an interaction with a doctor was unprofessional. She agreed and, with her supervisor, facilitated a new attending physician. Megan cared for my mother as if she were her own loved one. She stayed on top of any changes to medication or direction of care in the digital notes from the various doctors and updated us accordingly. At the critical point in my mother's situation, we felt it was a godsend that this nominee was on a 2-day schedule on our floor, and she was with us 2 days in a row. We were truly blessed to have her as a liaison between the doctor team and us, and to have her in charge of my mother's care and needs. Megan is an asset to Akron General and gave us the best possible experience during our 10-day stay; no one else came close. She deserves recognition for her passion and enthusiasm for her profession.
