Megan held my hand the entire time, explained everything that was going on, and supported me through it.
I was admitted to HVI ICU, where I stayed for a month. Megan was the first nurse I met on the floor. Her contagious smile and ability to make me laugh after my first right heart cath is a memory I still look back on and smile. Every day after that, she would make time to come by my room. Whether she was charge or had her own patient load, I could always count on her to stop by. It became something I looked forward to. On one of the days I was feeling overwhelmed or sad, she took me for a ride in the wheelchair to enjoy the weather outside. Megan was always thinking of ways to keep my mind off the scary parts of my stay. My favorite memory was during my C-section. Megan held my hand the entire time, explained everything that was going on, and supported me through it. Megan advocated for me when I needed it; she went above and beyond and always showed compassion towards me and my husband. She will always have a special place in my heart.
