Megan consistently goes above and beyond for her patients. Thursday Megan was in a room taking care of a 50-year-old male that was undergoing an esophagectomy. During the procedure, they were met with complications and severe bleeding. Megan continued to remain calm and take control of her room during the chaos of needing a transfusion and coding the patient. After they stabilized the patient, they took him upstairs to the ICU where he would eventually need to return to surgery for a complete surgery. The surgery was completed on a Saturday when Megan came in on her time off to take care of this patient. In her care, she showed compassionate care and extraordinary service. She is a role model for all of her colleagues, and she carries that with grace.
