Megan was never without a smile in her eyes as she wore her Covid mask.
I was in a very bad accident and woke up in the hospital with no recollection of why I was there. I'm in pretty good health but was told I wouldn't be able to walk for 3 months. The good thing was that I was alive, but what an unexpected turn of events in my life. I was deeply troubled by my situation and although I had friends and family around me the one person who was my daily ray of sunshine and hope 12 hours at a time was Nurse Megan Carreiro. Her care and understanding of my physical and mental health were instrumental in keeping everything upbeat and positive.
Megan was never without a smile in her eyes as she wore her Covid mask; her warm and understanding heart kept any negativity I had expressed at bay and filled the hope of my future with nothing less than a sure-footed promise. Although all my caregivers at Monument Health were top-notch she clearly stood out as more, a kindhearted friend, with understanding empathy that brightened the room when she entered. I can't remember one time where her visit was not without talk that erupted in laughter and smiles for minutes passed conversation.
Monument Health is without a doubt considered an awesome healthcare facility because of people like her who clearly see her job as so much more than what she was hired for. I would like Monument Health as an institution to recognize Megan on my behalf as a wonderful caregiver who goes above and beyond in every way, emulating full coverage health care in the most sympathetic yet positive way.
