A patient Megan cared for contacted her supervisor and said he wanted them to know how wonderful she was to him and that she had not only showed great compassion to him but made him feel like he was the only patient in the entire hospital. He also used words to describe Megan like loving, caring, healing, and a valuable part of his care. The care Megan provided for this patient made his experience at Piedmont Medical Center the best he had ever had. He was so grateful to have her as a nurse, it brought him to tears.

Megan started as a new graduate nurse on PCU two years ago and from the beginning exhibited qualities like caring, compassion, and responsibility. She is always willing to help a co-worker in need and when a new employee starts, she strives to make them feel welcome and will make herself available to them. She takes responsibility for all aspects of her patient's care.
