My husband had a very unexpected health scare and spent from Thursday to Sunday in Opts 5. All of the nurses who cared for him were exceptional. M was his nurse on Thursday, and she was so wonderful, but the remaining 3 days were with your nurse, Megan. She took such great care of my husband for the entire time that he was there. She is the most caring, loving, knowledgeable, sweetest, kindest person (nurse) that we have ever had the pleasure of getting to know.

Her exceptional care of A should be recognized and rewarded. She so lovingly took such good care of him that many times that care brought my husband to tears. It was such a very scary time for us, and having Megan there to explain things, and to just be so willing to listen to his fears, and assure him and encourage him was above and beyond, and we will never ever forget her. A shared his life with her, and Megan shared her life with us. She truly became like family.

I share all of this with you because I feel that you probably don't always get to hear and know how truly blessed you are with the amazing staff that you have representing you and your hospital. I could go on and on, and tell you stories of just how precious and wonderful Megan is and was from the minute she began her care of A until the minute she discharged him. We hope that we don't ever have to come back, but if we do, we absolutely would not want anyone to care for us except for Megan. That is how good and well she does her job. She is an amazing, exceptional nurse, and she deserves to be recognized and known as such.
