Nurse Megan Cronshaw was amazing when we were in Labor and Delivery. She came on shift after our daughter was born. My wife was having some complications due to some clotting. Megan did an excellent job explaining everything that was going on to my wife and me. After the clotting issue was cleared up, Megan gave us a great tutorial on bathing our baby. Soon after, my wife began to have more complications due to blood clotting and had to be taken to the Operating Room. Megan stayed by my wife's side during the entire procedure, only leaving after she asked my wife's permission to find me and the baby in the nursery to give me an update. She took some pictures of me and my daughter on her phone and texted them to me since I did not have my camera with me in the nursery. It was very much appreciated. She stayed with me in the nursery for a while to make sure I was doing ok and then returned to assist my wife.
After my wife was cleared to leave the OR and was moved to High Risk Labor and Delivery, Megan came back up to the nursery to escort me and my daughter to where my wife was staying. She found me a folding bed and exchanged it for the chair that was in our High-Risk room so I would have a place to lie down and stretch out. Megan ended up staying for 2 1/2 hours after her shift had ended. She was caring, kind, and compassionate. She was very knowledgeable and her bedside manner was excellent. She treated my wife and me with courtesy and respect during her time with us.
Megan helped make the horrible, stressful experience that my wife through after our daughter was born a lot more bearable. We wouldn't have been able to get through it without her.
