Megan Crouch, RN

Every nurse knows how overwhelming it is to start a new job as a brand-new RN. I came to the 10th floor overwhelmed, overly critical of myself, and lacking experience and self-confidence. Megan took me under her wing as my preceptor and I couldn’t have been more lucky. Megan is one of the most hardworking and helpful nurses on this floor. She has a gift for making people feel at ease, whether it is one of her patients or a brand new “baby nurse.” Megan is a fierce advocate for every single patient and staff member because she sees everyone as her family. I am in awe of her and her ability to make everyone feel heard, seen, and welcomed. She has taught me how to have a questioning attitude, to be open to suggestions, and to constantly learn new things. All the while keeping a positive and compassionate attitude. It is not easy to train a new nurse, especially in a specialty field, but she did it with patience, understanding, and excellence.
