While I have found nurses to be competent, capable, knowledgeable, and accessible, Megan was all of that PLUS! She was uniquely insightful to identify my concerns, doubts, fears, and apprehensions and targeted her interventions to provide me with encouragement, motivation, and comfort. She made me find the will to succeed and push past my fear to be successful. She changed my mindset to one that was no longer overwhelmed. I now know that I can stand because of her and will push myself to take the next steps. We spent many hours together and because of this, I know my goals are achievable. She truly went above and beyond, and I was the lucky beneficiary. I wasn’t just a patient to her.
