My daughter came into the emergency department late at night as a trauma patient, and we, as her parents, arrived unsure of her condition and very frightened. Megan came and found us as soon as we arrived, and from the second she started speaking to us, we immediately felt that our daughter was in amazing hands that cared very much about her outcome and our emotions through the process. We spent the entire night with Megan (and the rest of the amazing team), and she was incredibly communicative about what had happened, what would be happening, when we could relax, and how we could help. We were provided all the support we could ask for, right down to food and hydration. My daughter had been intubated, and the extubation process was traumatic for everyone involved. But Megan's steady, confident, and gentle demeanor and voice helped my daughter relax, allowing for a successful procedure. Megan was absolutely amazing the entire time, and I cannot give her enough kudos. I hope she has a long career of helping people in this way, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.
