Megan Gomez, RN

Megan always demonstrates an exceptional level of diligence with every patient she cares for. Recently, we had a very complex case, and Megan never faltered in her advocacy for this patient. While others might have dismissed symptoms or delayed action, she trusted her instincts and refused to give up until the patient had the proper diagnosis. She advocated fiercely, ensuring that concerns were heard and acted on. Because of her determination, the patient was able to receive the correct treatment and care plan that made a difference in the patient’s health and recovery. Megan supported the patient and family emotionally- giving reassurance and compassion during a time filled with fear and uncertainty. Megan exemplifies what it means to be a nurse. She is an advocate, a healer, and a source of comfort during vulnerable times. I believe she embodies the spirit of the DAISY award!
