Megan is a role model of commitment to the professional core values of nursing by her caring, empathy, and advocacy for her patients. She does not settle for mediocrity but sets a standard of excellence in her nursing practice. Her positive attitude is refreshing. She has demonstrated competence in critical thinking and clinical decision-making under stressful situations in PCU. The patients are always cared for consistently in a holistic manner. Patients and their families feel cared for, safe, cared about, protected, and have their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs met.

She is a role model for her commitment to the nursing profession. Megan embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award not so much by her words but consistency in her attitudes and actions.
