Megan gave my mother and our entire family precious time together at our family home.
My mother was admitted to 6D, she was a frail, spunky 89-year-old who was diagnosed with acute heart failure. My mom received excellent care but, one evening my dear mother became non-responsive and with her family at her bedside, we made mom a DNR. The next day my mom whispered, "I want to go home." Several times. She whispered this dying wish at 5p at night and being a nurse myself I knew that it would be near impossible to put all the required equipment (home o2, etc.) and services set up. Megan smiled and said, "Let me see what I can do." Megan moved heaven and earth for this 78lb frail woman and at 9:15p, she came home. Megan gave my mother and our entire family precious time together at our family home. We sat beside mom, told our favorite stories and all laughed and loved together. Mom passed away the next day in the afternoon and we are forever grateful to Megan for the precious time she gave our family.
