I came to the hospital with my service dog through the emergency room and Megan was my nurse. As she was taking wonderful care of both of us and taking my health history, she shared with me that she suffered the same injury in the same way, so I felt an immediate bond and trusted her. Megan fell in love with my service dog and made sure all of her needs were met which included making her a bed with two warm blankets!
With Megan's firsthand experience in what I was going through I felt calmer and my anxiety level decreased significantly. She explained everything that would happen while I was down in the ER and constantly checked to see if London or I needed or wanted anything.
When the news came that I would be admitted to the hospital my first question was if my dog would be able to stay with me and the answer was no. Megan stepped up to the plate and knocked a home run out of the park by volunteering to watch and take care of my precious service dog while someone came to pick her up and take her to the doggie hotel and spa.
I trusted Megan completely and without hesitation. I was flustered and sad that my dog couldn't stay but that emotion vanished immediately knowing that Megan was so kind. This is my theory: If you take good care of my dog, I know you will take good care of me. And Megan did. Plain and simple. Two paws up to Megan!
