Megan LaPlaca, Registered Nurse

I was Medi-flighted to Richmond from Oklahoma City. My wife and daughter were also there. I needed an evaluation for a liver transplant. From the moment Megan LaPlaca came into the room, she made all of us feel like everything was going to be OK! She didn’t make promises she couldn’t keep, and she just kept it simple and real. No matter what she had to do, she would completely explain what she was going to do, what it would do for me, and how it was going to affect my body. Megan was always positive and smiling. She always asked if my family needed anything and went above and beyond to keep them as comfortable as possible. Her positive attitude gave us a sense of courage that we had made a great decision to go to Virginia. We felt at home, away from home.
Megan was positive, reliable, warm-hearted, professional, and had a bright smile in our time of crisis. We would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
