I was in a depression and wasn’t sure what I was going to do after getting out, but she changed that. She truly helped save my life and I owe so much to her.
From the moment I started receiving care from this nurse, it completely changed the way I was feeling and my entire outlook on where I was. Being in the hospital is obviously one of the last places you want to be but for the first time, I was sad to leave because I didn’t want to leave her. The time she spent caring for me paying attention to everything I said and actually listening to me and feeling for me, she was amazing. She would always show up with a beverage without me even asking, she just knew. I always had ginger ale but one night I switched it up to Diet Coke and totally threw her off. After that, she would show up with both beverages because she wanted to make sure I had exactly what I needed. She joked with me, made me laugh, and made me forget what I was actually going through at times. One afternoon, I was watching Mrs. Doubtfire so she decided to do her charting in my room and peek up at it with me from time to time and we laughed and just had such a wonderful afternoon. She made the time pass faster than I could have imagined. Normally, when a nurse or anyone is in the room, it’s extremely annoying, and I can’t wait for them to leave. With her, I was sad when she left the room and couldn’t wait for her to come back. In the four or five days that she was my nurse, she truly saved me. I was in a depression and wasn’t sure what I was going to do after getting out, but she changed that. She truly helped save my life and I owe so much to her. She’s hands down the best nurse I’ve ever met and I’d argue the best nurse there is period. You won’t find anyone as special and compassionate as her. She’s truly amazing and one of a kind.

My 93-year-old mother came to the hospital for what became a week's stay. A very stressful and difficult time. The nurse took her on and made her feel cared for and protected. The individual thoughtfulness she brought to all her duties was truly remarkable. Even when the patient was incoherent and I could not be there, she made sure all bases were covered, always spreading confidence that everything would work out. She went far beyond what she needed to do and gave a level of attention to getting the right meds, tests, etc. that I have never seen a nurse do (and we have been in the hospital many times recently). She should be recognized for being a truly exceptional nurse. Her work ethic, good humor, knowledge, and attention to detail made a difference for my mother as a patient. Things might not have had a good ending if it weren't for the fact that we were lucky enough to have her.
