Megan Lloyd, NP

I brought my daughter, J, in for a yearly check-up and to have her knee looked at because she was having pain. Megan diagnosed her with femoral patellar syndrome and went ahead and sent her for an x-ray just in case. The x-ray was abnormal, so Megan contacted a pediatric ortho, and we met the doctor. J was sent for an MRI. The MRI results came in and stated J had osteosarcoma. We still had not heard anything from pediatric ortho, but Megan called. She went over the results with me and told me she had already contacted the St. Jude affiliates, and they wanted to see us immediately. We met with them; they had already sent everything to St. Jude. We were sent to Memphis immediately, and they started testing. J was diagnosed with early-stage osteosarcoma. The doctors at St. Jude will be surgically removing it, and they believe J will not need chemo since it was caught early. Megan went above and beyond for my daughter, and I truly appreciate her.
