Megan Maiffret recently completed her RN New Grad Residency this August. As part of the new grad curriculum, prior new grads were asked to come and speak to the new cohort of new grads coming in for a panel Q&A. During this time, the brand-new nurses could ask questions about their experiences, tips, and tricks, and discuss some common fears for starting out. Megan spoke to the new grads and answered their questions like a professional. I was honestly blown away by her positive attitude, inspirational stories, and words of encouragement to the new registered nurses. She spoke with such confidence and offered a great deal of reassurance. Her advice to the new nurses demonstrated her successful transition into professional nursing practice. After she left, the new grads stated how beneficial her words of wisdom were to them and how they wish they, "will be as confident as her when they approach their year mark. Megan clearly demonstrated how she has made a meaningful difference in nursing excellence by reflecting the values of the Strategic Pyramid for People & Culture in assisting with strategies to help with nursing retention.
