My 59-year-old husband was having chest pains and went to the hospital. He was admitted to the Heart Institute. He does not have a history of heart problems so he and I were in a state of shock. Megan treated my husband as if he was one of her family members. She answered our many, many questions and was extremely knowledgeable. I'm in dentistry so I am familiar with some medical information and I was very impressed. Megan spent a lot of time with us and some of that time was just talking to us about everyday things. It really relaxed my husband. He felt like she really cared about him and wasn't just "in and out" doing the basics of her job. We could see the real passion she has for nursing and it was so comforting to my husband. When she was going over the discharge papers, she was very thorough and spoke in "laymen's" terms so we could understand what my husband needed to know. I was very impressed that she knew his A1C number from the day before without looking at his chart.
