She’s the leader who doesn’t just close the loop, she keeps the connection going and strong. She’s a one-of-a-kind leader in a one-of-a-kind position.
Let’s set the scene – You’re a bedside nurse on an unfamiliar unit. It’s been a REALLY long day and- wait, what do you mean it’s only 10am?! You feel super behind, all of your bed alarms are going off at once, everyone else working on the unit is busy with their own patients, and you haven’t even started charting yet. It feels like the day is never going to end, and you still have nine and a half hours left. Your coffee is already cold, and forget about having breakfast. How are you ever going to make it?!
In comes a light to save the day, and she’s your friendly neighborhood assistant manager of the CRU! Not only is she coming to check on you during her daily rounds, but she’s going to help with everything on your plate, make sure you’re okay, and probably even provide some kindhearted conversation or a heartfelt book recommendation while doing so (and probably hand you a snack and make sure you’re drinking enough water). She also somehow manages to find the time to lead Professional Governance every month! Starting the day with wins, safety stories, and a great YouTube playlist as people gather for our monthly commune of excellence. Megan always checks in with leaders and members, ensuring that everything is not only up to date but also helping keep fun award secrets and surprises. She’s a kind communicator and your go-to girl for anything and everything about Masonic. Need to know who to talk to? Megan will walk you to their office and start the conversation. Unsure of a project? Megan will find out whom to email in less than 10 minutes.
She’s the leader who doesn’t just close the loop, she keeps the connection going and strong. She’s a one-of-a-kind leader in a one-of-a-kind position. She takes every challenge head-on with grace and compassion and strives to instill that example into her teams. Masonic is so lucky and grateful to have her at the helm of so many projects and committees, as well as a leader of the float pool. We appreciate you for all that you have done, do now, and will do in the future. Keep slaying, Ilysm.
