She sensed our fear and immediately reassured us that our early bird was in good hands.
We had an unexpected preterm labor and our little one was admitted directly to the NICU for a three week stay. Knowing nothing about the NICU or what to expect, we were full of hesitation and fear. Megan was the first nurse to watch after our baby, L.
She sensed our fear and immediately reassured us that our early bird was in good hands. She walked us through what to expect, answered our questions, and took the time to continuously check in on us while balancing professionalism and privacy. We were nervous that the next day, Megan would no longer be her nurse. Little did we know, Megan came over to check in with us during her breaks. She continued to do this throughout our entire NICU stay, reassuring us every step of the way.
While all the nurses were amazing at what they do, Megan went above and beyond to ensure Mom & Dad were taken care of and calm. That, to us, was priceless. She clearly displays compassion and love in her role and in her level of care. We are so grateful to her!
