Megan showed her great empathy and comfort in a time when she was very vulnerable.
My mother-in-law was admitted due to complications related to her cancer. At first, we thought her stay would be brief. However, it became apparent that she would not be leaving the hospital and going home. Megan O'Berry was her nurse for several days. While I personally only saw her interact with my mother-in-law briefly, she was so kind and gentle with her. She showed her great empathy and comfort in a time when she was very vulnerable. She also acted as a great advocate for her to help ease the pain and suffering that comes along with end-of-life. She took the time to sit with my husband and discuss how he was feeling and talk about getting to know my mother-in-law in the time that she took care of her. My father-in-law had nothing but wonderful things to say about her as well, and you could tell that she had also spent time getting to know him. My family will forever be grateful for the care that she provided and won’t forget her anytime soon.
