February 2023 Honoree
Megan Roush, RN
I would like to thank Megan for the very special care and warmth she provided me during my 3-weeks of infusion here at Sutter Hospital. She took her time and was above and beyond, skilled, compassionate, and generous with her thoughtfulness and true comforting sweetness.
I started my life 70 years ago with cancer that was discovered when I was 14 months old. I had a 1954 version of radiation or treatment and a nephrectomy. I have had a lifetime of health issues that include PTSD, so I continually have a challenging time when I am in a hospital or a medical facility. When I have a nurse like Megan, I truly appreciate the extra care and warmth that she provides her patients. And so, this is why I am moved to share my story and recognize Megan as a DAISY Nurse.
