Summer’s patient was about to go into a very important surgery. He’d been battling a very aggressive form of cancer and was feeling a bit discouraged. Summer discovered he was a huge Orlando City Soccer fan and wanted to surprise him with something to cheer him on before he went into surgery. She contacted Aid & Assist and we partnered with Community Relations to get something special! Summer and several members of the 9LP team surprised him with his very own Orlando City jersey! Summer said, “this is your lucky jersey, this is your ‘I will win’ jersey” and presented him with the OC Swag. The patient and his parents were thrilled. His mom said, “His dad is his number one supporter and will wear this foam finger and cheer him on all day tomorrow!” Thank you, Summer, for building relationships with your patients and cheering them on!
