She was the reason my labor was so easy! She made me feel so comfortable and not like I was in a hospital with a bunch of medical professionals; she made me feel safe. She explained everything above and beyond, answered all our questions, and made sure we understood everything that was going on. After being in labor for a long time, I decided to have a c-section for myself and THE baby’s safety. She came back in the room and gave me the best talk ever about how I did a great job and that this was not my fault, and how proud she was of me being in labor, and in that moment, those were the exact words I needed, and I can never repay for that! She made our baby girl a special hat that is in her keepsake box forever with a little bow on it. And she cared about seeing our baby girl being born. We know they see so many babies and to most it’s just a number but at least to us it felt like she actually cared about finishing. Although she wasn’t able to, she was even off the clock and offered her help afterward because she wanted to see it through and see her born. She made my partner feel like he was a part and answered all of his questions as well. We will forever be grateful for her; she was our DAISY Nurse!!
