Megan was my labor nurse and this was my first pregnancy. She knew exactly what to say and do to keep me calm during contractions - she was super patient with me and offered me so many pain management techniques. She coached my husband on how to rub my back and when I was in too much pain to communicate my needs, she stepped right in and did whatever she could to make me more comfortable - she even rubbed my feet! I was trying to have a natural birth, as I'd previously had back surgery, and didn't want an epidural. Megan was so understanding and never pushed that option on me. However after 14 hours of labor with no dilation progression I caved - I asked for the epidural. Megan was so supportive and didn't make me feel like a failure. She was so upbeat and reassuring the entire time. She was thoughtful and made me feel safe and serene.

She was extraordinary and I could not have done this without her. When I have my second child someday I'll be praying that Megan is on shift for my delivery again! She made my experience at Banner Ironwood extraordinary and I'll never forget her.
