Megan Walters, BSN, RN

Following my surgery, I was admitted to the 4th floor unit, where I had one of the most wonderful nurses I've ever met. She was working 3rd shift.

She was extremely kind and courteous. She went above and beyond my expectations as an RN, such as:

• I was well taken care of. She was always inquiring about any needs I had or ways she could meet any needs I had. I didn't use the call button because I didn't have to, with Megan always being there for her patients.
• She always took her time to help me get to the bathroom and back to the bed carefully.
• She always made me feel comfortable, making sure I had water, etc. She also made sure my bed was adjusted properly since I had back surgery, and this was very important.
• Megan made sure I was never experiencing any pain and that all of my medical needs were met.

Most of all, through every act of kindness, she was always very professional. All the things she did were never a chore. She did these because of her "calling" to be a nurse and minister to others.

Megan was a true "Florence Nightingale." My grown daughters were visiting, and it took only a few minutes for them to observe all these characteristics.
