I have observed this individual from afar on how she interacts not only with the patients but also with her peers. I have had my own interactions with her, and she is just an amazing mentor and influencer on her surroundings. Whenever she is on the floor, there is a calmness to the organized chaos. I can definitely tell when she is working as a charge nurse. Not only does she show compassion to her patients, but she also shows compassion to a peer who was having a rough moment and feeling frustrated. In a calm, supportive tone, she expressed her understanding, showed compassion, and provided comfort to the person. She gave the person a hug and told them she was there for them and that she loved them. I can tell she is an advocate not only for patients but also for those she supports during her shift. She is highly regarded not only by her patients but also by her peers. A true leader who goes above and beyond but also spends time in the trenches with those who depend and rely on her.
