Megan was our first post-op nurse. She seemed to never be still that first night, helping, checking, reassuring my husband and me, explaining, encouraging. I told her I could only go home and get some rest because I knew she was watching over my husband. She instilled that kind of trust in those first few hours after surgery. She is such a mix of professionalism and compassion – seriousness and humor. She was as free with her hugs as with her information. She always called us by our first names and encouraged me to tell her about my husband so she could attend to him more personally. What a wonderful nurse, what a wonderful person.
