Megan embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award. I have never heard her raise her voice or say an unkind word about anyone. She treats patients, families, visitors, and staff with the utmost respect.
Megan is always willing to pick up an extra patient or transfer while serving as a resource for other nurses. She is a compassionate charge nurse and always takes the time to talk with patients or help family members grasp the situation. She manages a unit in a way that keeps everyone calm, even when the storm hits.
One of the things we appreciate about her is Megan stepped up to manage the Core Values System for 3 West. Somehow, she is able to balance all of our schedules in a way that keeps us all happy. Our unit would not be the same without her!
