I am a first-time mom, and Meghan was my nurse for the delivery of my son. My son needed some extra support with breathing, and Meghan was very reassuring during that time that they were doing extra support for him but that he was ok. After my son was fine and handed to me, I began to have an adverse reaction to the medication. Meghan knew exactly what the reaction was and jumped right into action, giving me medications and blankets and getting me a bear hugger and a thermal blanket. She knew to check my temperature to be prepared for a potential fever spike. She reassured me that I was going to be ok and that I was not dying. She also looked at my husband and reassured him that this was an adverse reaction and that I was not dying.

Meghan was also with us for the next two days of our stay and had me as a patient. She was there for everything I needed and also kept me informed about the extra antibiotics and the reason for them. Meghan also came into the room during the available time to check on us and have conversations with us due to the extra day of stay for my health. Meghan is the epitome of a compassionate nurse, demonstrating genuine care and compassion for her patients. Even in the scariest event of one of the happiest days of my and my husband’s life because of Meghan, we didn’t have to worry!
