We are so grateful you have this bright light at Sky Ridge! Meghan combined systematic thinking, friendliness and extreme care for my mom's extreme issues. She took the time to hand write all my mom's test results from all the days so I could see the "trend" occurring in mom's health. She was pivotal in helping me see mom was getting better and the importance of getting mom home so she might start to eat more. She was spot on with tests. She had accurate and thorough notes.
She had such gentleness with mom and me. My nickname at the oncology department was fighting Tiger. I was indeed this for my mom's care. Meghan understood that I had a ton of questions, that I was concerned and because I was the only patient advocate for my mom that I could be a bit abrasive with getting mom the care she needed. Mom's case was not a normal one, as anal cancer has complications that can be overwhelming and take a lot of time for the charge nurse on duty. Meghan, without missing a beat, adjusted exactly the care needed for mom to continue getting better and on her charge nurse watch mom was ok'd to be discharged!
It was Meghan who took the time to share with me in those last few days at the hospital the importance of getting her home and how she was medically stable enough to go home without fear of a relapse. She was a great salve for my worry; smiling, on top of it, and calibrating quickly the level of care my mom needed. A DAISY for sure! Thank you Meghan!
