I wanted to take a moment to recognize one of our outstanding ICU nurses, Meghan. I'm truly impressed by her dedication and commitment to our patients.
Yesterday, we encountered a critical situation with a patient who required dialysis. I had a discussion with the patient's daughter, who is also a physician, in collaboration with our nephrology team. During our conversation, I requested Meghan's assistance in preparing for a 7 am dialysis catheter placement today. However, it became evident that we didn't have the necessary dialysis catheters readily available within the hospital.
Meghan coordinated efforts to source the required catheters from Santa Rosa and texted me late into the evening to assure me this would happen.
While we are still waiting for the dialysis catheters as I write this note, I want to commend Meghan for going above and beyond to support our patients in their time of need. Her dedication exemplifies the exceptional level of care that our team consistently strives to provide.
