Meghan is an amazing nurse who goes above and beyond for all of the patients she cares for and really any patient she comes in contact with. One story is a patient we cared for who had a long length of stay and was very behavioral at times from his disease process, as well as advanced cognitive impairment. She (along with the rest of the multidisciplinary care team) helped to formulate a care plan to care for this patient to help keep staff and the patient safe while providing our high-quality care. She spent so much time with this patient. She would bring in their favorite donuts and even order online and brought in candy cigarettes as it was the only thing we could do to keep him calm at times. She truly goes out of her way to make all of our patients feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. She provides all of her patients with “Meg’s Spa Day,” where she washes them from head (hair included in this bed bath!) to toe, not missing a spot. Meghan is a nurse who also goes above and beyond for her patients and truly deserves DAISY Recognition. She is the nurse you would want to care for you or your family and friends.
