Meghan was an amazing nurse for my father, who was experiencing kidney failure. While under her care, she not only took amazing care of him. She also answered questions for my mother and myself, which helped us to understand the process, what to expect, and how best to help him. She went beyond my father's care, ensuring everyone who helped him did so with compassion and skill. We appreciated that she prayed with us and that she helped us to get a better/bigger room that allowed us to be with him in his most trying times. While he was struggling with ICU delirium, she offered suggestions on how we, as a family, could help him conquer it. She made sure Dad had an iPad so he could listen to his favorite hymns, remembering to do it while on her day off.

She also helped us get connected with the palliative care team and ensure we had the space we needed to make the hard decision to move to comfort care. Without Meghan, we know we would still have had great care, but the level of compassion, understanding, and grace was unparalleled. Her display of faith reinforced our own comfort in being willing to express our needs and desires. We will never forget her level of individualized care, which met the needs and desires of our family. She made us feel like she was part of our family the entire time.
