Meghan Lupica had a very difficult assignment with a very aggressive patient. The patient was hitting, spitting and biting. The patient had a Constant Observer, but he/she was not able to handle the patient's aggressiveness alone. Meghan was always at the bedside with the patient's best interests in mind. She was thinking of creative ways to help keep the patient distracted and busy. She was very prompt and always kept a smile on her face. I could not have done it without her.
Meghan has really stepped out of her comfort zone and initially oriented from MedSurg to Critical care and she now goes to PICU, Peds, and NICU.
Meghan is consistently a team player, helping all those around her to ensure that they have good shifts. She has such a soft heart and is a great listener. She is non-judgmental and supportive of others, which is why she has such a strong connection to peers and patients.
