Meghan M Black, RN

Meghan was the charge nurse on Christmas Day in the Pediatric Specialty Care Unit when I was the resident on Hem/Onc. Add COVID to this mix and visitor restrictions, and it's easy to imagine how sad this situation could be. Meghan handled the situation with extraordinary grace and professionalism and gave these children several of whom have terminal diagnoses, a wonderful Christmas. They seemed like different people happy and cheerful, after what Meghan did for them. I am eternally grateful to her and will remember that Christmas vividly until the day I die.
