Going through my first pregnancy, I went into the L&D department with some lower abdominal pain. Meghan was assigned as our nurse. She was WONDERFUL. She was so thorough, and she could see that I had major medical anxiety. She was so understanding and gentle with me. There was one point when the baby was in a bit of distress, but Meghan did an excellent job of keeping me calm and quickly took care of the situation. We went home that night only to return the next night. Meghan recognized us IMMEDIATELY. She can see that things had escalated from the night before and jumped right into it. After some readings, I was in active labor getting prepped for my C-section. I was TERRIFIED. My anxiety had gone through the roof, my entire body shaking and vibrating on top of the contractions. Meghan was so supportive and reassured me that she was going to be there through the whole thing. And she was. She gave me words of encouragement, held my hand, and stayed completely reassuring the entire time. She never once made me feel like I was a nuisance. In fact, it was as if we’d known each other forever. I truly don’t think I would have made it through the procedure without her being in that O.R. with me. She even stayed with me in the maternity department until I was stable and all settled in. She deserves the world, and this hospital is incredibly lucky to have her on its team and staff. Please let Meghan know how incredibly grateful we are for her.

Thank you, Meghan, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
