I want to commend Meghan for outstanding duty, but most importantly her attention to detail and great compassion. I arrived at Beaumont ER and she was assigned to the unit. I have never had a blood transfusion completed and at my age, I was extremely anxious and tense about the procedure. My doctor ordered that I have 3 separate IV's connected simultaneously, which left me uneasy. Meghan assured me she would handle it and she certainly did! Once the IV was in, I experienced severe pain once the IV was being flushed. Coming to my aid without hesitation, I saw the compassion in her face. She calmed me immediately by gently removing and replacing the IV tubing. She was able to walk me through one of the most traumatic experiences in my life with much professionalism, care, and kindness. I appreciate her dearly and needed to make sure her wonderful efforts were documented in some way. Thank you so much Meghan.
