My husband fought his battle with Ewing's Sarcoma and in the end, he needed to be admitted because he could no longer feel his legs. Meghan came in like an angel. She was my husband's nurse the whole time. We knew the end was near and she guided my husband, coached him and did everything in her power to make him comfortable. He was only 34 and had so much anxiety and was not ready but she eased it for him. She prepared him and me.
Meghan took an impossible situation and held our hands and guided us through it. My husband made sure to tell me to nominate her, he said she deserved so much more, but hoped he could at least honor her this way. Meghan is the kind of soul that belongs in this field; she embodies what a nurse should be. She gave my husband a kind and gentle ending to his life. To her I will forever be grateful, so will my husband.
